These plans, based on the manufacturer’s recommendations, include annual “check-ups” (the Guardian® factory service schedule 4.13) and cleaning by a qualified professional. During the check-up, your generator will be tested and individual parts of the system are inspected to ensure they continue to function properly when you need them.

  • Cleaning Inside and Outside The Unit
  • Check/Adjust Fuel Pressure and Voltage
  • Change Engine Oil
  • Replace Spark Plugs and Air Filter Inspect & Adjust Belts, Hose Clamps, Fuel Supply Connections, & Exhaust Manifold Bolts
  • Inspect for Leaks in Cooling System & Engine Oil System
  • Test Battery Voltage, Water Level, Alternator Voltage, Generator Output Voltage, & Frequency
  • Check Valves
  • Inspect Fuel System (Adjust as Needed)
  • Check Battery (Terminations, Connections, Water Level) Check All Connections – Electrical and Mechanical Inspect Enclosure, Ensure All Openings Are Unobstructed
  • Check Battery Charger Simulate a temporary power loss and observe proper orientation (generator start, power transfer, and shut down)
  • Check & Adjust Engine Exerciser Circuits
