Generac Launches New Industry Leading Air Cooled 24kW Standby Generator

Generac Guardian 24kW Model 7210

Our first (60) Generac 24kW Model 7210 generators have arrived from a special early order opportunity offered only to a few select Power Pro Premier dealers nationwide, and we jumped on them right away. With the combination of Covid-19, a failing grid in parts of the country, and an active hurricane season, Generac has had challenges keeping up with the record demand for standby generators. To have a new product launched at such a key time is nothing short of incredible, and it’s truly another game changer for Generac.

Generac already made the most powerful Air Cooled Standby Generator on the market with the Generac Guardian 22kW, and it’s been a main reason behind their dominance of the standby generator market. (Models 7043 and 7042). Generac’s next main competitors’ largest unit is the 20kW made by Kohler, Cummins, and Briggs & Stratton. Generac’s industry leading technology just pulled them a little further in front of the competition once again.

Generac 24kW Houston Texas

As you can see from this chart above, the price on the Generac 22kW was already competitive with the smaller 20kW generators of the competition, but where you really see the big difference is in the prices below between units that produce similar power. In order for the competition to provide something equivalent in power, they must provide a liquid cooled generator. Check out the big price differences below, and you start to see how this uniquely positions Generac in the marketplace. Their 24kW Guardian Model 7209 and 24kW Guardian Model 7210 air cooled generators give them a 4kW power advantage over similarly priced units.

Generac 24kW 7210 vs Liquid Cooled Generators

The next sizes available after the Air Cooled 20kW options the competition makes are 24kW and 25kW  respectively depending on the manufacturer. The large price difference you see is primarily the move from a 2 cylinder air cooled engine to a 4 cylinder liquid cooled engine. The engine is more complex, heavier, much larger, requires a cooling system, and comes with a completely different price tag. (Note, most of the liquid cooled generators we recommend will run at 1800 RPM’s vs 3600 RPM’s on air cooled models) Ask us why that matters. The fact that Generac’s engine technology allows them to produce the power only available in the liquid cooled generators of the competition gives them a very unique advantage.

With the launch of their new generator, Generac has also unveiled their new PWR View Automatic Transfer Switch. With this transfer switch, you can now track your power usage at any time. This technology will help every consumer easily keep tabs on their energy usage, and help them manage their loads during extended outages. (When used alongside Programmed Load Management)

Josh,

I cannot thank you all enough for handling our generator needs.  Not only was your quote lower than your competitors, we also ended up with a larger generator.  We truly appreciate your support of the shelter.

The entire experience was nothing short of amazing.  Everyone was always prompt, efficient, professional, and always willing to help or make changes as needed.  Could not be more pleased and hope to work with you all again for my personal generator needs.

All the best!
Karen

This company got it done. There is no other way to describe the dedication from a personal phone call by the president to each and every employee that was onsite. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and they literally moved mountains to install a generator quickly and efficiently. They followed their timelines and showed up exactly when they said they would. There was zero headache on our part and we could focus on providing my mom the comfort care she needs. This company was outstanding.

Service has been top notch for the past 2+ years since we got the unit. Service man is always on time. They all have been very friendly, well mannered. Especially Kory…terrific person. As far as I am concerned, keep doing what you are doing. Your customers are your business.

We called Grasten to perform the first service on our standby Generac 38 kw generator. Trevor their service technician was professional and knowledgeable. He reviewed the service requirements in terms of what Generac recommends and performed the service with no issues. It was a good experience all around from scheduling the maintenance to the work performed . We would highly recommend Grasten. Good job! A.J. Clark Woodlands Tx
